Hello all, this is the free version of my Opentoonz course. Opentoonz is a high quality and feature-rich animation suit that has been free and open source since 2016 and has been used by studios such as Studio Ghibli and Rough Draft Studios.
In this course we will cover the following topics:
Learn about the user interface
Get started using the basic drawing tools
Learn the difference between levels and frames
Create frame-by-frame animations
Use onion skinning
Exporting animations
The only down side to Opentoonz is that the learning curve can be quite steep. But don't worry! In this course we will go over everything you need to know to get started.
This course contains both 'explainer' videos which provide a lot of information as well as practical exercises designed to help the learner consolidate and remember the information and turn the passive knowledge into a valuable skill.
This course is perfect for people who are interested in taking the first steps in animation and don't want to spend any money. The course is completely free and the Opentoonz software is also free and opensource. Enjoy!
If you like this course and you are interested in learning more why not consider buying the full version of the course. You can find it here on Udemy. Just search for 'Opentoonz A to Z' or browse through my other courses.
Coupons are created by instructors to promote their courses and attract new students. They can offer either discounted prices (for example, $11.99) or 100% free access. Each coupon expires once it reaches its redemption limit (usually 1,000 enrollments, sometimes 100) or when its expiration date arrives (often within 5 days).
Each Udemy coupon has a maximum activation limit — usually 1,000 uses, though some are limited to 100. This means the coupon can only be redeemed that many times before it expires, or until it reaches its expiration date — whichever comes first.
We don’t have direct contact with instructors, and only they can create or share coupons. You can try reaching out to the instructor directly — their social links (like Twitter or Facebook) are often listed on their course or profile page. Unfortunately, we can’t provide or request coupons on your behalf.
